Running shoes and scraped knees

Racing along the length of those long marquees that look like ships pitched in the castle was a heady thrill at the age of 4, when scrambling over the castle with scraped knees and tangled hair was the height of adventure. 21 years later, and the running’s got a bit faster (though perhaps not as fast as it could be…) but the venue’s the same. This year we’re thrilled to be launching our latest venture, a 12k race through Ludlow’s streets, taking in the best views of the beautiful town, and starting and finishing in the castle itself.

At the finish line you’ll find FitFest, a free event for all the family with activites, talks, stalls and everything fitness and wellbeing related, wether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started.

Then in the evening, as a reward for all those brownie points, it’s Comedy in the Castle time! Greg Davies, Holly Walsh, Dan Nightingale, Toby Hadoke, George Barnet….oh go on then! It’s a first for the castle, and we’re fantastically excited. Big plans for the next few years as well, so stay tuned.
